A police officer's main duty is to save the citizens from any kind of crimes. He helps to maintain peace while serving the law and order in the society. A police officer is also responsible for preventing the crime and eradicating the fear of the criminals from society. There are many designations for a police officer's post. Here, we are considering two examples for two different positions for writing a police officer resume cover letter.

Cover Letter (Sample 1)

Subject- Application for the post of a Police Officer

Dear Mr. Hernandez,

I am writing this application on the recommendation of Sergeant Mac O'well; who I am currently working with. He told me about the vacant position in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in your department (Firearms Unite), and asked me to apply for it. I have been working as a dedicated public servant for the Westhampton Beach Services for nearly a decade. I am a groomed fireman; holding the department license since ten years. I am always eager to learn more about the law and enforcement hence, I have given many police force related exams throughout my career. It has helped me in my line of work. I have attached all these certificates with this application.
