Job Description:

Job description of delivery driver includes following duties and responsibilities:

Assist in the loading of courier's deliveries into the truck or vehicle.
Deliver couriers as per orders to necessary destination.
Hook and drop trailers and modify the configuration of equipment as required.
When hauling dangerous material, confirm the hazardous material product. Conduct post-trip and pre-trip inspections.
Checkered up on vehicle circumstance frequently and reported on problem.
Drive all from mail trucks and catering vehicles to their individual car through a company logo slapped on the top.
Attach air hoses and electrical lines, remove and install tire chains, and manually crank dolly wheels. Informing manager of any vehicle evils.
Deliver products like equipment, appliances, mail, food, furniture, envelopes and packages.
Observe speed limits and obey every road signs.

Carry out simple vehicle maintenance like taking vehicle for state inspections, cleaning interior and exterior, filling tires with air.
Examine the operating situation of the tractor and trailers after and before trip, and when stopped enroot.
Drive to and from delivery destinations.
Communicate among clients to obtain signatures, payment and giving receipts.
Document every vehicle incidents like accidents, damages and offer reports of incidents to manager and supervisor.
Report injuries, accidents, and unsafe work circumstances to manager.
Welcome and acknowledge every guest according to company principles.
Expand and keep positive working rapport through others.
Load and unload trailer through construction equipment to and from construction work site, and load tandem transport and truck to work location.
Descriptions, decides any discrepancies in the paperwork, and validate proper pleading.
Manage different driving routes plus complete deliveries on time.
Look into vehicle maintenance and ensured good functioning of vehicle before and after journey or trip.

Skills:

Effective communication skills.
Successfully pass a DOT physical examination upon initial service and all 2 years thereafter.
Knowledge of driving laws.
Ability to transport, lift and move full and empty cylinders.
Manage deadline pressure without deteriorating and have exposed to come on top in getting targets completed.
Knowledge of MS-WORD, OFFICE, EXCEL.
Decision making skills.
