Graphic Artist/Designer ResumeA graphic artist resume is written by an artist whose job is to integrate all the graphics, typographic content, and/or animation together to make an artistic advertisement piece for a client. The graphic artist completes such tasks for magazines, newspapers, design journals, and/or posters or hoardings. The work includes coming up with illustrations depending on the client's brief and working towards incorporating artistic techniques and suitable graphics into them to make one whole creative piece. The artist must know about computer tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, and InDesign and QuarkXpress. In terms of education, one can pursue graphic designing programs from recognized universities across the United States. One can also go for an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree in arts or fine arts. All the companies with a requirement of efficient graphic artists would want to at least see a graduate degree mentioned in the applicants' resumes. This category of work also involves the post of web designer, where the professional plans the entire layout (with text and graphics) of a website. For such a post, an applicant must be good in XML and HTML along with other programming scripts. Apart from this, there are more kinds of graphic designing jobs – product or packaging designing, material use, or object arrangement. The job of a graphic designer includes a number of different responsibilities, including the most important one i.e., the responsibility to sell an idea. He should be extremely good in exhibiting fine marketing skills, so as to sell the designs and concept ideas to the clients or the boss.
