If you are a recently turned mother reentering the work force in the field of interior designing, having taken a break from employment and thus leaving a substantial gap in your employment history, then you need to mention the reason for the employment gap in your career objective. While constructing your resume, you need to include a short phrase in your career objective stating that you are resuming employment after a gap. This leaves the reader with no black holes while picturing your professional image. Career objective
An interior designer resume should start with a healthy career objective, following your personal details. Your objective should be laid out in such a manner that it productively places before the reader, your career related goals and aspirations. The objective not only acts as an introduction to your resume, but also outlines the purpose of your application. Here, you need to be brief, yet informative.
