A displaced homemaker's administration resume should bear the essential elements pertaining to her professional qualification, while clearly stating the fact that you, as a homemaker, having relocated to a new place, wish to gain entry to the field of administration. You may have taken a long break or are seeking employment for the first time, one thing you must remember is to include only that information which is in complete relevance to the employer's requirements. Your career objective acts as a title to your resume; frame it well, so that it clearly projects your interests and capabilities, also explaining your situation in brief. This, you need to fit within 2 short sentences or one long sentence (ideal). A weakly crafted objective will fail to capture the attention of the reader.

The key skills section, which is to be included immediately following your objective, acts as an effective marketing tool. Here, you need to mention your strengths, only those holding utmost relevance to the field of administration; skip all mundane information. Use bullets for highlighting all significant information such as key skills, profile summary (optional), accomplishments (optional), and previous job descriptions. If you wish to include a profile summary, then it's best to leave out the previous job descriptions while stating your employment history, as it is likely to give rise to repetitive information. If you lack an employment history, then it is recommended that you include a profile summary, containing essential information that signify your capabilities and profile. A profile summary precedes the key skills section. Then follows your employment history (if you have any), and academic background, organized in the order of reverse chronology, with the most recent information at the top as the older ones follow.

Include about 5-6 points while stating your previous job descriptions, the count for each employment, and in case of profile summary, mention at least 6-8 points. Do not elaborate on your academic qualification, keep it brief. If you have received any rewards or awards along the course of your career path, do include an accomplishments section following your academic history. Finally, include the contact details of at least two professionals that you are familiar with in the references section, provided the employer has specified, else just mention "Available upon request".
