WORK ENVIRONMENT:-

Letting agents are responsible for letting the property on behalf of the proprietor. They are also called as letting negotiators.

As a letting agent, you will be liable for all aspects of let, which comprise of:

• giving the recommendation about the letting process
• choosing responsible and reliable leaseholder
• arranging tenancy supplies and agreements

• installing and viewing the property to the tenants
• ensuring all aspects of the letting meet legal necessities
• providing advice on rents

• dealing with any problems with the property

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:-

You will generally begin as an apprentice and study on the job. Employers are expected to be more fascinated about your experience, skills and knowledge rather than your qualifications, although it can be of great help if you have GCSEs (A-C) or similar qualifications, especially in Mathematics and English. If you are having the customer service experience it will be beneficial for you.

A driving license is normally necessary.

You can study for the Level 3 NFOPP i.e. National Federation of Property Professionals Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management prior searching for job. This will be helpful by giving you knowledge about the building construction and appropriate law which you will require in you job. However you are prone to get you studies more pertinent, and probably easier, if you have experience.

The NFOPP qualification is assessed by MCQ (multiple choice questions) examination papers. You can obtain the knowledge by joining the courses provided by the training providers or sitting for the exams or by distance learning. Go through the website if NFOPP for more information.

TRAINING DETAILS:-

If you are not having Level 3 NFOPP Technical Awards in Residential Letting and Property Management, you can finish this once you begin work.

If you have experience, you can complete the Level 5 NFOPP Diploma in Residential Letting and Management. You can study for Diploma internally through distance learning, or by recreational study at colleges.

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:-

• Apprentice letting agents can begin on around $ 16,000 a year.
• Qualified agents can make between $ 17,000 and around $ 35,000.

Letting agents habitually earn a basic salary, including commission depending on the business they produce for their organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS:-

You will have to work for more than 40 hours in a week. This will frequently be for 9 hours from Monday to Saturday, but you may also have to work on Sundays and in the evenings.

You will be working in an office, but will expend much of your time by visiting the properties.
